Mango butter is taken from the kernels of the mango tree. Great for adding to lip balms, hand and body balms, lotions, and belly balms for expectant mothers. People love the way it prevents dry skin and formation of wrinkles. It is known for its ability to reduce degeneration of skin cells and restores elasticity. It is also used, raw, to provide relief from the dryness of eczema and psoriasis. Mango Butter adds a rich, silky smoothness to the blend of oils and beeswax. Note, this product is solid under 80 degrees. Some studies claim that Mango Butter can provide some sunshield capability. It contains oleic (34-56%), stearic (26-57%), palmitic (3-18%) and linoleic (1-13%) fatty acids. This product is solid at room temperature. Mango Butter can be used in any recipe that calls for cocoa butter or Shea butter. |
