Crystal gel potpourri is liquid potpourri absorbed into a gel crystal. Gel crystals hold twenty times their weight in liquid. You will receive a gallon of liquid potpourri with a bag of crystals. Color and fragrance the desired amount of liquid potpourri with water based color and fragrance. (Note: You can use up to 10% fragrance by weight and color to taste.) Pour approximately one teaspoon of gel crystals into a 8 oz container. (Note: larger containers will require slightly more crystals...smaller containers, less. Clear containers highlight the product best.) Then add the colored and fragranced liquid potpourri. In about 20 min. the crystals should hydrate with the solution. If the finished product looks to wet...simply add a few crystals. If the top is overflowing with soft gels...remove several until the cap can be placed on the bottle. The product can be displayed in an open glass or plastic container. When the crystals de-hydrate they can be re-hydrated simply by adding more liquid potpourri. Enjoy! |
